World Cup champion Vishwanathan Anand settled for a quick 13-move draw with Russian Alexander Grischuk to maintain his lead after the 11th round of the 65th Corus Chess tournament in Wijk Aan Zee, the Netherlands.

World's highest-rated woman, Judit Polgar of Hungary, continued to breathe down Anand's neck with another draw while local star Loek Van Wely scored a sensational victory over Braingames champion Vladimir Kramnik of Russia.

With 7.5 points, Anand is half a point adrift of Polgar while Van Wely, with 6.5 points is also in reckoning.

A pack of three -- Vassily Ivanchuk of Ukraine, defending champion Evgeny Bareev of Russia and Azerbaijan's Teimour Radjabov -- shared the fourth place on 6 points each.

Two more rounds remain to be played in this Category 19 event.
