Canada: India protests praise of Indira's killers

Unhappy over eulogising of assassins of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at a recent rally in Surrey, India has taken up the issue with Canada and asked it to take action against those involved in the act.

 

New Delhi has taken up the matter with Toronto through diplomatic channels and got a positive response, sources

said in New Delhi.

 

Gandhi's assassins Beant Singh and Satwant Singh were eulogised at the rally taken out by some members of the Indian community in Canada.

 

The rallyists had displayed photographs of the assassins, portraying them as heroes.
