A man claiming to have a bomb entered the Beijing office of the British news agency, Reuters, on Wednesday demanding to voice his "complaints."

The unidentified man entered the Reuters bureau office located at Shengfu mansion in eastern Beijing with a self-made bomb and demanded to voice his complaints, the official Xinhua news agency reported.

The Chinese
police rushed to the mansion five minutes after the incident, it said.

The Reuters staff has been evacuated to the mansion lobby. Police and the intruder are still facing each other in the office building, Xinhua said.

The incident follows two bomb blasts in the dining halls of the prestigious Beijing and Qinghua universities here on February 25.
