Reacting sharply to Sonia Gandhi's remarks on opposition being "irresponsible" and "aggressive", Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday said they were "unfortunate and condemnable" and vowed to raise concerns about UPA government policies.

"There is discontent within the Cabinet as also within the UPA on a host of issues and yet when we articulate these concerns, Sonia Gandhi describes us as irresponsible and aggressive. This comment is deeply regrettable, unfortunate and condemnable," said BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad.

The BJP leader also said "there is indecision and lack of authority of Prime Minister".

Prasad said the BJP will continue to articulate their concerns against the rank misrule, series of massive corruption and indifference of UPA government, as it continues to owe its duty towards the people of the country.

Prasad said "it seems surprising that the country's image under the UPA has suffered the most serious dent on the issue of corruption in the world, the common man is suffering because of continued price rise and the government has almost given up on the issue."

The BJP leader said foodgrains are rotting outside because of lack of godowns and poor people are missing meals because of hunger, unemployment is on the rise and so are farmer suicides. He added that industrial production is down, the Rupee is declining steeply in comparison to the Dollar.

"UPAs existence lurches from controversy to controversy and from scandal to scandal and this is the third year wherein the common man has suffered the most," he said.
