Delhi unit of Bharatiya Janata Party has demanded that the Centre order a high-level inquiry into alleged links of two Delhi government ministers with murdered liquor baron Ponty Chaddha and his slain brother Hardeep.

Ponty and Hardeep, who were locked in a property dispute, were killed when both sides opened fire at each other in a south Delhi farmhouse on November 17.

Delhi BJP president Vijender Gupta claimed a special police team investigating the murder found records of frequent telephonic conversations between both the brothers and Ministers Arvinder Singh Lovely and Harun Yusuf.

"A special police team investigating the murder has found records of frequent telephonic conversations between both the brothers and Ministers Arvinder Singh Lovely and Harun Yusuf," said Gupta.

Asking Union Home Minister SushilKumar Shinde to order a high-level inquiry into the alleged links, Gupta demanded removal of both the Ministers till the inquiry report is submitted.

Gupta claimed that on November 17, the day of the murder, Lovely had talked to Hardeep Singh for 97 seconds.

Attempts to get reaction from Yusuf and Lovely did not fructify.
