Bihar: Kidnapped boy Kislay returns home

Kislay Kaushal, a student of Patna Delhi Public School who was kidnapped on January 19, was on Wednesday released by his abductors in Bihar's capital, a senior police official said.

Acting on information provided by two persons arrested on Tuesday night, the police cordoned off the Separa area, Senior Superintendent of Police N H Khan said.

They then launched a search operation, during which they saw a highly traumatised Kislay surface on the road in the locality in the morning.

Kislay was not ready to disclose his identity. The police then took him to his Patel Nagar residence, Khan said.

Kislay was kidnapped by gunmen while he was going to board the school bus. The kidnapping had sparked widespread protests by students who staged demonstration before the Raj Bhavan, launched relay fast, stopped taking lunch boxes to schools and petitioned President A P J Abdul Kalam and Bihar Governor Buta Singh seeking Kislay's release. A number of guardians also joined the protests.

Meanwhile, in Bhagalpur, another student, Dipak Kumar, who was abducted on January 25, also returned home on Wednesday. Dipak was is a student of DAV public school, Bhagalpur.

The police are clueless about Ravikant, a student of Biharsharif DAV public school, who was kidnapped on January 24.
