Ten Bangladeshis were arrested in the Murshidabad district in West Bengal on Saturday for overstaying in India.
The ten, who were Hindus, were produced in a local court on Friday and then remanded to police custody for three days.

The arrests follow the case of six Bangladeshis, who were stranded on the no-mans land in Dakshin Dinajpur after they were pushed back by the Border Security Force and were refused re-entry by the Bangaldesh Rifles. They spent another night in the open at Dakshinpara in Hilli subdivision.
The Border Security Force had written to the Bangladesh Rifles, who have refused to take them back after pushing them in on February 19, BSF sources said.
Indian villagers taking pity on the plight of the Bangladeshi family, particularly two 18-month-old children, had been giving them bread and milk to survive, additional district magistrate Goutam Ghosh said.
The BDR at a flag meeting on Thursday refused to take back Muhammad Kamal (27), his wife Sajida (23), their three children and a family friend Muhammad Sahidul Alam (31). The family hails from Bangladesh's Rangpur district while Alam is from Khulna district.
