J&K to have 8 more districts

The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee has hailed Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad for his decision to create eight more districts in the state.

Senior Vice President, JKPCC, Abdul Gani Vakil has said a historic decision has been taken by the Chief Minister in creating three sub-divisions, eight new districts and 13 Tehsils.

"By creating new districts, the Chief Minister has written a new
chapter in the history of Jammu and Kashmir. With this, long cherished demand has been fulfilled providing ample employment opportunities to the educated youth of these areas and the tempo of development will be accelerated and put on fast track," he added.

The Congress leader cautioned people not to be misled by false propaganda unleashed by vested forces who are inimical to the prosperity of the state.
