Amitabh treated at Nanavati hospital

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan underwent a checkup at Nanavati Hospital at suburban Vile Parle late Monday night, hospital sources said on Tuesday.

The actor, who visited the hospital at 11 pm Monday night underwent MRI and CT scan and left at around 2 am Tuesday, they said.

Further details were not available as no doctor was available for comment.

In November, Bachchan had undergone a major surgery at a city hospital for diverticulum in the small intestine that had ruptured.

The actor is likely to undergo another surgery soon for hernia, which doctors noticed during the November operation.
