AAP MLA Manish Sisodia 'missing', say posters in Patparganj

June 18, 2014 17:44 IST

Posters taking a dig at the Aam Aadmi Party member of Legislative Assembly from Patparganj Manish Sisodia have appeared in his constituency saying that he has gone "missing" in the wake of power and water crisis but the legislator described it an act of his political rivals.

The poster, purportedly issued by one Ajay Walia who claims to be an 'aam aadmi', says that the AAP MLA could not be found either at his office in Pandav Nagar or at his residence in Mayur Vihar.

It also says that anyone who would trace the MLA, who has been missing since December 8, 2013, would be rewarded. However, the MLA rejected the allegations saying they were some kind of mischief by his rivals -- Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party.

"I have been visiting my constituency, meeting people and asking them on how to utilise the Rs 4-crore MLA fund. All those people whom I have visited know the kind of work I have been doing," said Sisodia.

"These allegations (of not being seen in the constituency) are not true. It is some kind of mischief by the Congress and the BJP workers," he added. When asked if he has filed any complaint regarding this, the AAP MLA said, "People know that I have been meeting them and they have seen my work. So I don't need to file a complaint."

Two days ago, the Congress had protested against electricity and water crisis in the area, and after which the posters were seen. Many areas of Delhi including Patparganj has been facing long outages for the last two weeks.
