Oh dear, no deer!

No deer meat will be served at the four-course dinner on Tuesday night for New Delhi's elite to celebrate the Nagaland festival.

The clarification was made by Nagaland Chief Minister S C Jamir in the light of news reports which claimed that venison would be a delicacy at the function. The chief minister lamented at the media's alacrity in highlighting 'something wrong' in the North-East. But the 'better side' of the region is seldom reported, he added.
