Rarely has a rape victim galvanised society into action the way the 23-year-old Delhi girl who was brutalised in a bus, has done. From Delhi to Bangalore, protests have broken out demanding that punishment for violence against women be made deterrent.
If her suffering at the hands of her rapists impelled us all to speak up, speak out, her passing away should make us resolve that her death will not go in vain, it should make us show we will not forget, and that we will always care.
We can show it even by little gestures.
Like praying for her soul.
Or, by simply lighting a candle.
Let the world you know care for victims of violence against women. Light a candle for the Delhi girl and others like her.
