Sri Ram Sena chief Pramod Muthalik, arrested in connection with Saturday's attack on a pub in Mangalore, was on Thursday produced before a local court.

Muthalik, who was arrested in Davanagere on Wednesday soon after a court granted him bail in another case, was brought to Mangalore today afternoon.

He has been arrested in connection with Saturday's attack on a pub by the activists of his outfit, who thrashed women and others in an act of moral policing, in the name of 'preserving Indian culture'.

Mediapersons were kept out of the proceedings when Muthalik was produced before the JMFC-III court.

The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad will question Muthalik in connection with the Malegaon blast case, a senior police official said today.

The Anti-Terrorism Squad will be sending a team to Mangalore to question Muthalik in connection with the September 29, 2008, Malegaon blast, Additional Director General of Police K P Raghuvanshi told PTI.

The ATS has filed its chargesheet against 11 persons, including a self-styled religious leader and a serving army officer, for their alleged involvement in the Malegaon blast, in which six persons were killed.
