In the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls, Union Railway Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav [Images], who currently represents Chhapra, will contest from Saran. He is not actually changing his constituency because, after delimitation, the Chhapra seat has been rechristened as Saran, Yadav said on Sunday.

Terming terrorism and communalism as twin sisters of evil, he said the 'communal' Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies would be trounced in the elections as people would vote for the 'developmental' policies of the United Progressive Alliance.

Claiming that the BJP and its allies were responsible for the advent of fundamentalist forces, the RJD leader predicted that L K Advani [Images] would never be able to become the prime minister, as projected by the 'saffron forces'.

Advocating quota for the poor among the upper castes, he said that his party would support the Constitution Amendment Bill to give them the benefits of reservation.
