Swine flu claims second victim in Bengaluru

A 57-year old man died due to swine flu in Bengaluru [Images] on Friday. This takes the toll to 2 in two days in the city.

Hospital authorities said that Shivanna passed away at 0400 on Friday mroning but waited to release this information as the cause of the death had to be ascertained. The test samples reached the Wockhart hospital a only late Friday evening, which later confirmed that the death occured due to swine flu.

Shivanna was admitted to hospital on Thursday after he complained of breathlessness and chest pain. Since his condition was critical, he was put on life support system.
