Threat to Advani: Suspect to be produced in court today

Mominul Haque, who was arrested on Thursday night for allegedly sending an e-mail threat to Bharatiya Janata Party leader L K Advani [Images], would be produced before the court on Friday.

Haque, a degree third year law student and a resident of Laban locality, would be produced before the court later today, Inspector General (special branch) S B Singh said.

Threat mail to Advani: Cyber cafe identified

Singh said the investigation was on to ascertain whether he has any links with terrorist groups like Indian Mujahideen [Images].

The police said Haque confessed to having sent the email to local newspapers, threatening to eliminate Advani during his visit to Shillong on September 29.
