Mangalore limping back to normal

Incidents of stone pelting at Alape were reported during the day. Miscreants pelted stones at government buses in this part of Mangalore, following which government buses were taken off the road. The police had to step in to disperse the mob.

Tension also prevailed in parts of Farangipet and Panemangalore where activists of the Srirama Sena tried to enforce the bandh forcibly. Several incidents of lathi charge were reported in and around the city to keep the protestors at bay.
