One held for Malegaon blast

A man was arrested on Saturday for his alleged involvement with the recent bomb blast in Malegaon and a forensic report said a mixture of RDX and ammonium nitrate was used in the explosion.

Abdul Rehman Salem Chaus was held by the police also for his alleged involvement in violence after the explosion and for taking away the firearm belonging to the bodyguard of Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjay Patil.

The pistol, with ten rounds in it, has also been recovered, they said, adding further investigations were on in the case and more persons could be arrested in connection with the mob violence that followed the blast.

The explosives were placed on a motorcycle. The blast killed six people and injured over 70.
