Describing the attacks in Mumbai as "ghastly" incidents, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said the "situation is serious" when a neighbouring country faces such terror strikes and "as a responsible government we cannot be oblivious to the serious situation". Addressing a press conference after the emergency Cabinet meeting to discuss the situation arising out of the Mumbai terror strikes, he hoped the incidents would not affect relations with India and that "we will overcome the hiccups" in ties and "move forward".
