Raymond Bickson, chief executive officer and managing director of Taj Hotel, said on Saturday that there has been no indication from the investigating agency that any employee or contractual staff, of the hotel, have been involved in the terror attack as is being reported by a section of the media.

Applauding the 'heroic actions' of the security forces who contained the attack on the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower, Bickson said, "We are saddened at the loss of life amongst the brave men who carried out this action."

In a statement issued at the Taj Mahal hotel [Images], he said that due to security measures that are being completed in the hotel, "we have been granted very limited access presently." The process of fully assessing the internal situation cannot begin as the National Security Guards are still assessing the situation.

At the moment the focus is on supporting the immediate needs of the guest and staff who have been affected by these attacks, he added.
