After not seeing their loved ones coming out of the Trident hotel even after 40 hours, many relatives and friends are losing hope.

"I am waiting for my friend Kanubhai Patel, but there is no news of him. He is 73 years old," said Bhupendra Shah, a family friend.

Patel had gone to the Trident for dinner with a friend Chandresh Vyas, who was rescued later.

"Vyas was hit by a bullet in his hand and was rescued, but Patelbhai has not come out. He has not even attended his phone since Wednesday," added Shah.

"Did you see Parul?" a lady asked a friend. When the answer was in the negative, she almost burst into tears.

Many of them dialed 011-23890606, the Trident helpline. "They are helpful," added one person who did not wish to be named for this report, "but when you don't get the information about your relative, there is no point talking to them."
