Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images] on Thursday visited victims of the terror attacks in Mumbai at the JJ Hospital in South Mumbai, and told the injured that he "understood their pain".

"I understand your pain," Singh, who rushed to the city from Delhi [Images], said during his meeting with some of those injured in the terror attacks that have left 125 dead.

Singh was accompanied by Congress president Sonia Gandhi [Images], Union Ministers Shivraj Patil [Images], Sharad Pawar [Images] and Murli Deora, Governor S C Jamir, Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil and Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh [Images].

Soon after arrival at the Mumbai airport, the prime minister arrived at JJ Hospital and visited ward number 21 on the fifth floor, ward no. 19 on third floor and ward no. 12 on second floor.
