Over 150 Maoist sympathisers along with several hardcore activists were taken into custody from a forest area in Khaira in Bihar's Jamui district on Tuesday, police sources said.

The  raid took place  during a meeting of the Maoists and over 150 people were taken  into custody.

Several hardcore activists of the ultra left outfits and its sympathisers were believed to be participating in the meeting,

Sources said that the exact number of hardcores was not yet clear.

A number of handbills and Naxalite literature were found.
