Congress chief Sonia Gandhi [Images] and Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil on Thursday visited the sites of Tuesday's serial blasts in Jaipur and went to the hospital to meet the victims.

Soon after her arrival, Gandhi, accompanied by Patil, drove straight to the blast sites in the old city amidst tight security arrangements. Gandhi then went to the Sawai Man Singh Hospital where a majority of the 118 injured were admitted and enquired about their well being. Besides Patil, All India Congress Committee General Secretary Ashok Gehlot and Pradesh Congress Committee president C P Joshi and other senior Congress leaders accompanied Gandhi.

Prior to Gandhi's visit, Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje went to the SMS Hospital to enquire about the welfare of the injured. She also visited the Santokba Durlabji Hospital where some of the injured were admitted.
