B Raman, the country's foremost terrorism expert and rediff.com columnist, said, "Early reports suggest that there could be a link of serial blasts in Jaipur with the tenth anniversary of the Pokhran-II nuclear tests."

He said, "Jihadis have a great sense of timing. The way the serial blasts were orchestrated shows that it were well thought out."

He said, "Today is tenth anniversary of the nuclear tests. These blasts could be to send across the message that India may have nuclear power but you are powerless against terrorism."

Raman added, "It is too early to say anything more but one cannot overlook the timing. The jihadi mind works like that. They attach importance to the dates of history. Pokhran is in Rajasthan so they may have selected the state capital," Raman added.
