2 killed in Manipur bomb blast March 12, 2008 13:41 IST
Two persons were killed when a powerful bomb exploded in Imphal West district of Manipur late on Tuesday night, official sources said. A powerful bomb, allegedly planted by unidentified militants, went off at Kamakhya Pemton college campus at Hiyangthang area, 15 km from Imphal. Two persons identified as Meghachandra Singh (25) and A Guni (40) who were nearby were killed in the explosion, the sources said. Their bodies were brought to Regional Institute of Medical Science and Hospital in Imphal for post-mortem.
