Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who arrived in New Delhi on Friday, on a three-day visit, cut short his trip and returned home tonight by an Indian Air Force plane because of death of his mother-in-law.

In view of the urgency, the Indian government, in a special gesture, provided the IAF plane to fly Qureshi back home.

The Pakistan Minister was scheduled to meet former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha L K Advani, Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha Jaswant Singh and Left leaders tomorrow.

He will also miss a visit to Nizamuddin Dargah as well as Ajmer Dargah where he was slated to travel on Sunday.
