No time-frame for Telangana statehood: Andhra CM June 02, 2008 21:26 IST No time-frame can be fixed for solving the complex issue of Telangana statehood as it requires political consensus, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy said on Monday. The demand for carving out a separate state was under active consideration of the Congress high command, he said a day after the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, spearheading the statehood movement, received a huge setback in the by-elections. "Telangana demand is a complex issue. It can be achieved only through consensus among all political parties and all other stakeholders," Reddy said in response to a query during a TV show today evening. He said the Congress high command was trying to reach a consensus over the Telangana demand. To a question, he said no timeframe can be fixed for solving the issue but the Congress would try to solve the issue as early as possible.
