Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Saturday condemned the bomb attacks in Bengaluru and Ahmedabad, describing them as 'acts of senseless violence against innocent persons'.

Gilani, who left Islamabad today for an official visit to the United States, issued a statement condemning the terrorist violence in India shortly after Ahmedabad was rocked by 16 bomb blasts that killed at least 29 people and injured hundreds.

A statement issued by the foreign ministry said: "Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has strongly condemned the acts of terrorist violence in the Indian cities of Ahmedabad and Bangalore and expressed deep sympathies with the bereaved families and the victims of these dastardly acts of senseless violence against innocent persons."
