Responding to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's [Images] victory in Parliament, the US on Tuesday said it looked forward to continuing to work with India on the civil nuclear deal and further strengthening the strategic partnership.

"We look forward to continuing to work with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's government on strengthening our strategic partnership with India and working on a number of important bilateral issues including a US-India civilian nuclear agreement," Gordon Johndroe, spokesman of the National Security Council, told PTI.

Johndroe's comments came soon after the United PA government won the trust vote in Parliament over the Indo-US nuclear deal, which was signed by Dr Singh and US President George W Bush [Images] in June 2005.
