Journalists beaten up by Asaram bapu's supporters in Ahmedabad July 18, 2008 17:17 IST Supporters of Asaram Bapu came out with sticks and attacked a group of journalists who were outside the ashram in Motera on the outskirts of Ahmedabad. "We were outside the ashram covering the bandh, when Bapu's supporters came out and attacked us," Gopi Ganghar of Aajtak television channel, who sustanined injuries in the incident, said. "They also damaged equipment and outdoor broadcast vans of the news channel," Ganghar, who was later hospitalised, said. Bodies of the two boys, 11-year-old Abhishek Vaghela and 10-year old Dipesh Vaghela were found on the banks of the Sabarmati river on July 5. They were reported missing from the ashram a few days before their bodies were found.
