On Wednesday, US president George Bush arrived in Israel for his first visit to the country as president.
The bond between the American president and Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert was evident.
Over last two years, the two have forged a more than cordial relationship and Israel believes in Bush's commitment to its security. It also believes that this relationship will help in cementing an agreement with the Palestinians.
