Kashmir: 6 injured in year's first grenade attack Mukhtar Ahmad in Srinagar | January 02, 2008 23:01 IST In the first grenade explosion of 2008, six persons including three paramilitary soldiers were wounded in north Kashmir Bandipore town, late Wednesday afternoon. The police said militants tossed a grenade at a Border Security Force bunker in the main Bandipore town. "All the injured were taken to hospital for treatment. Two have been referred to Srinagar [Images] for specialised treatment. The area was searched," a spokesperson said. Recently, the Hizbul Mujaheedin and the Lashkar-e-Tayiba had condemned the grenade attacks at crowded places in separate statements.
