International terrorist organisations have been using Indo-Bangladesh border as their corridor for entering India, Additional Director General of BSF (East) U K Bansal said on Friday.

Talking to the media, he said anti-Indian forces had been using Bangladesh to enter India as Western and Southern border of India were well guarded, besides Indo-Nepal border and Kashmir border.

He said Hujji and other fundamentalist elements had spread their net in bordering states of India, including North East and West Bengal and as a result, the BSF was procuring most-modern electronic gadgets like floodlight, thermal and satellite imageries, different radars and night vision devices.

Bansal was looking after five frontiers of eastern Indian states, which shared 4100 KM border with Bangladesh. He claimed that the BSF have been doing their best to maintain the borders peaceful and a number of initiatives were adopted.

"The cross border crime and movements of anti-Indian forces through Indo-Bangladesh border were reduced substantially while the socio-economic development projects of the bordering communities were initiated as part of border management programme," Bansal said adding that the fencing work of about 641 KM of 856 KM border had already been completed in Tripura.
