People's Conference chairman Sajjad Lone has conceded that the high voter turn-out for the Jammu and Kashmir elections not only surprised him but other separatist leaders in the Valley as well.

"We will have to find out what went wrong. I am personally of the opinion that we need to have another look at our call to boycott the elections. It is not physically possible to find out who went against our call and voted for whom," Lone told rediff.com in an exclusive conversation.

According to him, the reassessment of strategy needs to be looked in light of the aspirations of the people.

"The pressure of getting day to day things is gaining ground. If the present trend continues, people would look at things in fresh light six years from now. There needs to be greater dynamism in our approach," he said over phone from his residence in the Valley.
