Asking the government to explore all options against Pakistan and immediately stop all bilateral engagements, including 'illusionary peace and trade talks', the main opposition Bhartiya Janata Party on Wednesday lambasted Islamabad [Images] for "patent falsehood" and continuing to be in a state of "total denial" that the conspiracy about Mumbai [Images] terrorist attacks did not emanate from its soil.

In spite of voluminous evidence about the Pakistani origin of the terrorists, Pakistan has shown its true colours, says a resolution adopted by the party's central office-bearers meeting in New Delhi [Images].

"First, the terrorist is described as a "non-state actor" then he becomes a "stateless actor" and finally he is described as a "freelancer," the party taunted Islamabad on its changing stand about Mohammad Ajmal Amir, the lone terrorist arrested alive from among 10 26/11 attackers.

The BJP also wondered as to who is controlling Pakistan; the civilian government, the army or, the ISI which is the patron of most of the terror outfits operating from Pakistan.

It also asked the international community to know that Pakistan today is "the epicentre of world terror in as much as any terrorist attack anywhere in the world has some definite Pakistan linkage."

"If Pakistan is not willing to deliver and take requisite tough action, India must consider all options without resorting to any hype and senior ministers of the Cabinet must speak in one voice," the party said while expressing dismay that the prime minister, external affairs minister and defence minister in the last few days have certainly not appeared to have spoken in the same tenor.

"The BJP calls for immediately stopping all the bilateral engagements with Pakistan including illusionary peace and trade talks. The illusion entertained by Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh [Images] that Pakistan is also a victim of terror and there must be a joint mechanism of investigation has already caused enough damage to us," the resolution adopted by the office-bearers said.
