One of his associates, Rajesh, was also killed in the police action in Badarpur area of south Delhi at around 5.30 am, while three policemen -- Inspector Surender, ASI Ashok Tyagi and Constable Virender -- suffered bullet injuries.
The action came after police received information that Bunty and his associates were hiding in a building in Badarpur locality, a senior police official said.
"On seeing the police team, the accused started firing from inside and in retaliatory firing, two were killed," the official said.
Three imported pistol, four country-made pistols, live cartridges and two spring actuated knives were recovered from the spot, the official added.
