Two former activists of the banned SIMI [Images] have been picked up by police near Aluva in Kerala [Images] for questioning late Monday night.

The two - Ashraff and Abdul Rehman - were picked up from Veliyathnadu.

The police refused to divulge details. Night patrolling has been intensified in the area, police sources said.
