Two Central Reserve Police Force personnel drowned in the river Jhelum in Baramulla district on Monday, a police spokesman said.

The jawans were bathing in the river at a camp site in Negli-Sopore, 55 kms from Srinagar [Images] , when they drowned.

The spokesman said the body of one of the jawans identified as Kundan Lal was fished out from the river by rescue teams, while efforts are on to recover the body of the other jawan identified as Vinay Kumar.
