Telugu actor Chiranjeevi [Images], who is all set to make his political debut within the next couple of weeks, is planning to throw a party for his colleagues from the Telugu film industry on Sunday, where he will reveal his political plans.
The event will be a sort of farewell party for Chiranjeevi, whose acting career may take a backseat once he enters politics.
Every prominent actor, actress and film personality from the industry has been invited to the party.
"Chiranjeevi wil formally announce his entry into politics at this event. He will invite the film fraternity to join his party and urge them to help him," said a source close to the mega star.
Some members of the film industry like director Puri Jagannath, and actors Srikant and Brahmanandam have decided to join Chiranjeevi's party.
Countdown begins for Chiranjeevi's D-day
The sources add that Chiranjeevi is going to contest the next assembly elections from Narsapur in his native West Godavari district and Tirupati in Chittoor district.
"It is also possible that he will enter the political fray from another constituency in the Telangana region," they said.
The party has also readied the publicity material including CDs of special songs that hail Chiranjeevi as the 'messiah of the poor'.
