Describing the United States a "bullying power" whose time had "come to an end," Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad on Tuesday spewed venom against Washington from New Delhi, saying it was collapsing and falling down.

Ironically, the US had recently asked India to be tough with Iran, specifically on the nuclear issue, when the Iranian president came calling.

"The bullying power is collapsing and falling down. They are at the end of their life...at the end of their road," the Iranian president said at a crowded press conference in Delhi on Tuesday night after meetings with President Pratibha Patil [Images] and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images].

Ahmedinejad, who was here on a whistle-stop five hour transit visit on his way home from a tour of Sri Lanka [Images] and Pakistan, said, "Pure people should be allowed to govern the world and the 'bullying power' would not be able to stop the movement of Iran."

He said the global situation had changed because of the wrong activities of the managers of the US.

"They want all goodness exclusively for themselves. They want nuclear energy in their own hands to sell it at a higher price. They put pressure on the International Atomic Energy Agency, but Iran has nullified all such pressures.

The bullying powers cannot stop the forward movement of the Iranian people. They (the US) should put aside bullying activities," he said.

Blaming the US directly for the mess and the current situation in Iraq, the Iranian President said the situation (in Iraq) was 'very critical'.

"They (Iraqis) are under the hegemonic supremacy of a bullying power. To fill their pockets, they (the US) wage wars. The US should now return from the region. They should just evacuate. It will be face saving for them," Ahmedinejad said.

He said the current situation in the world was of concern. In Iraq, more than one million people were killed and the 'massacre' was continuing.

To a question on the current economic situation, he said the US dollar had weakened and it was now just a piece of paper.

"Dollar is not dollar. It is just a paper. They (the US) just publish it and send it to the market," he added.
