Assam: 24 injured in twin blasts September 30, 2007 21:29 IST 24 people were injured -- three of them seriously -- in two bomb blasts on Sunday evening in Upper Assam's Tinsukia district. Official sources said that the first blast occurred near Devipukhuri Tinali in Tinsukia town close to an electric transformer at around 5.45 pm, injuring 19 persons including three seriously. The second blast occurred at Uchamati in nearby Doomdooma town where five persons were injured. The injured have been admitted to a hospital, the sources added. Senior police and administration officials have rushed to the site of the blasts.
