Rallying for democracy in Myanmar

September 28, 2007

Protests are being held across the world over the oppression of democracy in Myanmar.

India has not officially condemned the suppression of the people’s movement in Myanmar by the military junta, stopping with stating that all sides will resolve their issues peacefully through dialogue, a stand that has not won it many friends.

The United States has, in fact, asked India and China to support the people of Myanmar.
