A paramilitary jawan was injured in an improvised explosive device explosion in Badgam district on Thursday, official sources said.

"One Central Reserve Police Force jawan was injured when his vehicle was hit by an IED blast triggered by militants at Deobugh village in Badgam district," they said.

Militants had planted an IED at Deobugh village and exploded it as the CRPF vehcile passed by, they said adding, no militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the blast.
