Two militants from the outfit All Adivasi National Liberation Army died in an encounter at Hatidandi in Karbi Anglong hill district of Assam on Friday afternoon.

The police said that a team of personnel from the 11th Assam Police Battalion attacked a hideout of AANLA ultras inside the forest near Hatidandi. In the ensuing gun battle, two militants were killed while two others managed to escape. A policeman was also injured in the encounter.
