Kashmir DGP is head of central crack unit

Jammu and Kashmir's [Images] security advisor and former director general of police Gopal Sharma was on Thursday appointed as director-general of the Special Services Bureau, a central paramilitary outfit.

Sharma, who held the post of DGP in the sensitive state for four years till July, was replaced by a local IPS officer, Kuldeep Khuda.

A 1972 batch IPS officer, Sharma held many important positions in Jammu and Kashmir police. He was appointed as the security advisor by the state government in July.
