The Andhra Pradesh police arrested Bangladeshi national Rizwan Ghazi who could provide leads in tracking down perpetrators of twin blasts in the Hyderabad on August 25, police sources said.

Rizwan, brother of arrested Bangladeshi woman Shahi Rafsanjani, was arrested in Bangalore and was being brought to the city, they said. Rizwan had been at large ever since his house was raided by police in Kishanbagh locality in the Old City on September 1.

Ghazi has been staying illegally in Hyderabad for the last six years. A Hyderabad police team had gone to Bangalore following a report that Rizwan had fled to Bangalore. Investigators said Rizwan's interrogation could also help in cracking the May 18 blast at the Mecca Masjid. Rizwan had reportedly made phone calls to Pakistan and Bangladesh a day before and after the blasts. Earlier, sources revealed that 35 calls were made to Pakistan and Bangladesh in three days from August 24.
