The Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party on Sunday decided to jointly fight the coming assembly elections in Gujarat in December.
Leaders of the two parties met in Ahmedabad to finalise the alliance and seat-sharing arrangement.

"The tie-up has been finalised," NCP leader and former chief minister Chabbildas Mehta said after the meeting.

State Congress in-charge B K Hariprasad, Gujarat Pradesh Congress president Bharatsinh Solanki and Opposition Leader in Assembly Arjun Modhvadia took part in the discussion. Chabbildas Mehta, Sanat Mehta and NCP state unit chief Jayant Patel Bosky represented NCP.
