A cyclist was killed after being hit by a speeding Blueline bus at Dwaraka in New Delhi on Saturday. The deceased, who is yet to be identified, is the 98th victim of accidents involving Blueline buses in the capital.

The mishap took place at sector six of Dwarka in south-west Delhi on Saturday morning, police said. The victim, who was in his mid 20s, was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, they said.

The driver of the bus, plying between Manglapuri and Azadpur, fled from the spot soon after the incident. A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered against him and efforts are on to nab him, said the police.
