Srinagar CRPF encounter: 2 militants killed

Two suicide bombers who forced their way into the battalion headquarters of the Central Reserve Police Force in Srinagar [Images] late on Thursday evening were killed on Friday morning.

The bombers had entered the premises on the Boulevard Road on the banks of Dal Lake, when Chief Minister Ghulam [Images] Nabi Azad was hosting an Iftar party at the nearby Sheri Kashmir International Conference Centre.

One of the bombers was killed on Thursday evening while the second was killed in a shoot-out, which left three personnel injured, the police said.
